Paul L. Hallenbeck - Founder and Chief Scientific Officer |
Dr. Paul L. Hallenbeck founded Neotropix, Inc. in the fall of
2003. Prior to Neotropix, Dr. Hallenbeck served as the Novartis
Leading Scientist at Genetic Therapy, Inc., a Novartis company.
In this role, he headed research programs and served as a research
board member.
As a leading researcher in the field of oncology and virology, Dr. Hallenbeck
holds nine patents in the U.S. and abroad. He has been a Staff Fellow and a National
Research Council Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Hallenbeck's
expertise encompasses oncology, molecular biology, virology, gene therapy, research
management and extensive background in other disease areas and technology.
Dr. Hallenbeck has authored more than 20 scientific articles in journals including
Human Gene Therapy and The Journal of Virology and Cancer Research. He has been
invited to speak at numerous research conferences around the world, and has presented
at forums such as the International Oncolytic Virus Conference, the Patent Fair,
and the American Association for Pancreatic Cancer.
Dr. Hallenbeck earned a doctorate in microbiology and a Master of Science in
microbiology from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill. He received a Bachelor
of Science in chemistry (Magna Cum Laude) from Siena College in Loudonville,
N.Y. and an Associate in Applied Science degree in medical laboratory technology
from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y. |
